United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio sent his congratulations on the occasion of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Statehood Day.

In a message published on the State Department’s website, Rubio congratulated the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina on this day and said that the United States looks forward to building a relationship focused on mutual stability.

“On behalf of the United States, I congratulate the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Statehood Day. The United States values our partnership and remains firmly committed to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This day provides an important opportunity to reflect on the principles of peace and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to recommit to a cooperation that offers a promising future for all. The United States looks forward to building our relationship with all the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a renewed focus on mutually beneficial stability, security, and prosperity,” Rubio said.

As a reminder, a day earlier, a message to the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the occasion of the Statehood Day of BiH was also sent by US President Donald Trump, and was transmitted by the US Embassy in BiH.

“As you celebrate this significant day, I urge your leaders to seize the present opportunity to work together to find local solutions that have the support of all constituent peoples. This will improve stability in the country and allow us to deepen our partnership based on common interests and mutual benefit,” said Trump.
