The High Representative in BiH Valentin Inzko informed the leadership in Srebrenica Municipality that he has provided investors that will open 50 jobs in Srebrenica.
Inzko did not specify who are the investors, but said that they will deal will the production of automobiles and that the project will probably be realized this year.
He thanked the mayor of Srebrenica, Ćamil Duraković and the President of the Municipality Radomir Pavlović in forming a wide parliamentary majority and municipal government within the statutory deadline.
‘’Our goals in Srebrenica continue to be reconciliation, return and the opening of production capacity that will make possible jobs and development. People here wish for a better life, peace, development and they are willing to work together to create conditions that will improve their lives in Srebrenica’’, said Inzko.
He said that the international community will help to develop Srebrenica in order to create conditions for a better life for its citizens.
‘’I expect that in the next four years constructive wok from local authorities and progress in all sectors in this municipality, which the international community will support’’, promised Inzko.
The President of the municipal assembly of Srebrenica Radomir Pavlović said that he is happy that Inzko has secured investors to open 50 jobs and that he expects it will help speed up the process in the development of the municipality. This is the goal of the new municipal government.
Pavlović said that two sessions of the municipal assembly will be held in February, so that a budget and work program can be adopted, and for decisions to be made that will enable intensive activities in the plan to create conditions that will attract investors and generate additional employment opportunities.
Duraković said that he discussed with Inzko the plans for the next period, and that the main goal is economic development, opening of new production capacities and employment for a large number of unemployed people and those living in poverty in this municipality.
He said this is a good example of inter-ethnic and inter-party cooperation and understanding in the forming of a wide parliamentary majority in Srebrenica that will encourage people to work together to improve the situation and to create better life conditions in this area.
Duraković said that he expects this coalition will create better cooperation with the RS government and BiH, and Banja Luka and Sarajevo.
‘’We hope that we will create better cooperation and solve disputes and contentious issues together in the interest of the rule of law, as well as the needs of this area and its citizens’’, said Duraković.
