Vance: The U.S. Will Not Deploy Troops To Gaza Or Israel

United States (U.S.) Vice President JD Vance stated that, despite the role it played in reaching the new ceasefire agreement in Gaza, the U.S. has no plans to deploy U.S. troops in Gaza or Israel.

“We do not plan to put a boot on the ground,” Vance said in an interview yesterday, adding that this applies to both Gaza and Israel.

Vance said that, before the deadline that expires on Monday, the remaining Israeli hostages in Gaza could be released “at any moment.”

These comments come ahead of the peace summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, which will be chaired by U.S. President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and attended by officials from more than 20 countries.

Last month, Trump presented a 20-point ceasefire plan for Gaza that includes the release of all Israeli captives in exchange for around 2.000 Palestinian prisoners, a permanent truce, and the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from the entire Gaza Strip.
