Argentin striker Juan Manuel Varea signed today a one year contract with the FC Željezničar.
Varea said he is very happy to sign for the most successful club in B&H and that he can’t wait to play at Grbavica in front of the Željezničar fans – was announced at the FC Željezničar.
“I want to welcome Juan. I hope he will be of great help to us, but we know he needs time. He is currently not in a great shape and we will do our best to get him back on the track in a short notice. He surely want be able to help us the first twenty days, in fact as long as we don’t get him a working licence.” – said the leader of the FC Željezničar, Admir Adžem.
Varea is born in Buenos Aires 23th March 1986. He started his career in Velez Sarsfield and later played for the Deportivo Espanol, Central Cordoba, Široki Brijeg and spent his last season with the team of Ravan Baku.
He played 73 matches and scored 25 goals in Široki Brijeg and was pronounced the best foreign player in B&H in 2010.
