matchThe national football team of BiH beat Cyprus in Zenica with the result 2: 0 as part of the third round of Group H qualifier for the World Championship that will be held in 2018 in Russia.

Coach of the national football team of BiH Mehmed Bazdarevic made four changes in comparison to the match in Belgium, and from the first minute of match for BiH played Begovic, Vranjes, Sunjic, Spahic, Kolasinac, Visca, Pjanic, Medunjanin, Lulic, Dzeko and Djuric.

From the beginning of the match, player of Cyprus withdrew to their half of the field and lurked for their chance from counter attacks. Pjanic had the first chance for Dragons after only 5 minutes, Vranjes and Visca were in action on the right wing, but the ball bounced to Pjanic who shot the ball near the left post.

Cypriots had their first serious attack in the 14th minute. Christofi, who led his teammates in his 40th appearance for the first time as captain, came down the right side and shot, but the Sotiriou was late. Two minutes later, Vranjes centered, and Dzeko shot at the center of the goal of Cyprus.

Dzeko had another chance in the 35th minute, but he went too far to the left and shot but he was not accurate. Cypriots had their chance in the 39th minute when they shot from the right but Begovic defended.

Central figure at the beginning of the second half was Dzeko. After Visca’s shot in the 53rd minute, captain of our national team missed an empty goal, and in the very next attack, Dzeko shot over the post after Pjanic’s shot.

In the 64th minute, Hajrovic replaced Kolasinac and had a chance in the first contact with the ball. He shot from the left, Panagi clumsily intervened, and Djuric failed to send the ball into the network because Laifis was faster than him.

BiH took the lead in the 70th minute of the match. Alexandrou made a disastrous mistake, Pjanic took the ball from him and assisted to Dzeko, who shots and made the goalkeeper of Omonia capitulate.

Tino Sven Susic replaced Edin Visca in the 78th minute.

Dzeko scored his 49th goal, and the second one in this match, after 80 minutes. Pjanic scored from the right, and the captain of Dragon’s checkmated Panagi who failed to intervene. Cypriots argued that the ball did not pass the goal line, but the referee Estrada pointed to center.

The third replacement in our team took place in the 82nd minute, when Vedad Ibisevic replaced Milan Djuric.

By the end of the match Dragons routinely held their advantage and recorded second victory in qualifiers.
