More than 30,000 people participated in protests against police violence and racism in France, Radio Fransinfo reported.

The same source stated that around 9,000 protesters took to the streets of Paris. Labor unions said 15,000 people took part in the protests in Paris.

Late last night, the RIA Novosti agency reported that immediately after the start of the protest, radical demonstrators began to break shop windows and destroy ATMs.

They also attacked a police vehicle and threw bottles and stones at it.

Paris police later announced that they had detained three people.

French media reported that around 30,000 police officers were deployed to ensure order and peace during the protests, including around 1,000 in Paris.
