The Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska, Radovan Viskovic, said today in Banja Luka that he did not see any reason for the increased presence of EUFOR on the territory of Republika Srpska, emphasizing that no one’s security was endangered in that area.

Viskovic reiterated to reporters that the Republika Srpska authorities demand that EUFOR members behave as before and as they should, ie that, as is the case now, they do not show up with armored vehicles on the streets, in front of schools, media houses and the like.

“It is not their job and I see no reason for them to have any intensified activities, because the security of RS and BiH is not endangered in any way,” Viskovic pointed out.

He emphasized that the RS institutions are doing everything to make the Republika Srpska and BiH safe and stable, and said that it will continue to be so.

“So, I see no reason why people from EUFOR should worry about any endangered security, because the security of any citizen or member of the people is not endangered here in RS,” the RS prime minister said.
