Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said on Sunday that the Pančevo Refinery will officially cease operations on Tuesday if the United States does not issue a license to continue operations to the Serbian Petroleum Industry.
He announced that an “important meeting” will be held tomorrow on how to resolve the problems that will follow “because he does not believe that the Americans will make a statement by then”.
“Kill me, I do not understand their logic. I have had countless conversations with them. I wonder why they are not giving us a license. The Pančevo Refinery will cease operations on Tuesday, and the value of the company will then fall,” Vučić told Informer.
He pointed out that if the license does not arrive from the United States, Serbia will have to find different ways to secure oil and oil derivatives in the coming period.
