Serbia is ready to participate in the process of transparent exchange of all war crimes indictments and information on investigations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday.

Vucic said this in a conversation with the Chief Prosecutor of the Mechanism for International Criminal Courts in The Hague (MICT) Serge Brammertz, with whom, as reported from Vucic’s office, he discussed cooperation between the MICT and Serbia, regional judicial cooperation in war crimes proceedings and implementation of a national strategy for the punishment of war crimes.

Vucic assessed Serbia’s cooperation with the MICT prosecutor’s office as satisfactory, and discussed with Brammertz the possibilities of improving regional cooperation on war crimes indictments, in order to contribute to reconciliation in the region 26 years after the war.

“Serbia is ready to participate in the process of exchanging indictments for war crimes,” Vucic said, stressing his desire for “the chief prosecutor to help,” the statement said.
