It is very stormy at the moment at the session of the United Nations Security Council, where the new six-month report of Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the work of the Mission in Kosovo is being discussed.
As expected, the main speech will be given by the President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani and the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić.
Osmani spoke about the crimes committed by the Serbs during the war in Kosovo.
“Children as young as six months old were burned alive in an effort to wipe them off the face of the earth just because they were Albanians, just because they belonged to a different nationality than the regime this man (Vučić) served,” said Osmani.
“Elhame Mucholi was only 14 years old when Serbian police forces stormed her house. 53 civilians – mostly children, were initially shot because they were all gathered in one room. She will never be able to forget the deafening screams of some of the children who were still was alive while they were being burned to ashes. And as if that wasn’t enough, the police burned them again and again and again,” she added.
As part of the delegation, she brought to the session women whom she claims were raped in Kosovo during the war.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić reacted to her allegations by saying that her speech was “political theater” and “a set-up for the Serbian delegation”.
He also showed a photo of the Serbian woman Marica Mirić from Bijelo Polje near Peć, whom he claims was raped “several times” and then slaughtered during the war in Kosovo. He said that’s why he “couldn’t bring her”.
He asked if anyone believed that Serbian women were not raped during the conflict in Kosovo.
“You brought people who don’t belong here,” emphasized Vučić.
“Please inform us next time as one of the founders of the United Nations, that some citizens, some citizens who will be present at this session, will bring more people, to put the blame on the other side, because we are here to discuss the report and about the possible consequences of political activities and everything else,” emphasized Vučić.
He asked why the Serbian delegation was not informed who would be a member of the Pristina delegation, Klix.ba reports.
