Vulin: The only Solution for the Crisis in BiH is for the Bosniaks and the EU to take a step back

Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin stated that the only solution for the crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is for the European Union (EU) and the Bosniaks to take a step back.

This statement is yet another in a series coming from Republika Srpska (RS) and Serbia aimed at persuading the EU and pro-Bosnian forces to sit down at the negotiating table.

“The only solution for the crisis in BiH is for the EU and the Bosniak leadership to take a step back and understand that they must respect RS. You cannot declare 49 percent of the territory a disruptive factor. What kind of BiH do you want if you don’t want a successful RS?” asked Vulin.

In addition to Vulin, yesterday the President of RS Milorad Dodik also tried to offer a proposal for resolving the crisis, saying that he would withdraw the laws adopted in the National Assembly of RS (NARS), which concern the prohibition of work of four state institutions in the territory of that entity if Christian Schmidt withdraws the laws he imposed.

The withdrawal of the BiH Criminal Code, whose amendments Schmidt introduced, would ultimately lead to the annulment of the verdict against Milorad Dodik because the criminal offense he committed would no longer exist. The paradox is that Dodik is trying to buy his freedom with laws that are not applied at all in RS and have no legal force.
