Rain is expected on New Year’s Eve, it was announced on the website of the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute.

As stated in the mid-term forecast for the next two weeks, stable and mostly sunny weather is forecast from Monday.

“There is likely fog in the valleys, and smog in urban areas. According to the available synoptic materials, it will remain stable and dry throughout the week. More clouds are expected from Wednesday, which will cover the sky to a greater extent or completely,” it was announced.

When it comes to New Year’s Eve, from Sunday to Monday, rain is forecast.

This could certainly disappoint those who planned to celebrate the new year outdoors, but also those who might have wished for snow.

“Air temperatures are above normal for this time of year. Frost is possible only in higher areas,” the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute stated.
