The average monthly net salary in Bosnia and Herzegovina for April this year was 1,684 BAM, which represents a nominal increase of 0.2 percent compared to March, while in real terms it is lower by 1.6 percent, according to the data of the BiH Statistics Agency.
Compared to the same month last year, the average wage was nominally higher by nine percent, and the real index for that period was higher by two percent.
The highest paid activities are still related to information technology, finance and energy. In the information and communication sector, the average net salary in April was 2,399 BAM, in financial and insurance activities 2,196 BAM, and in production and supply of electricity 2,067 BAM.
On the other hand, the lowest salaries are recorded in catering (accommodation and food preparation) 1,157 BAM, construction 1,307 BAM, trade 1,383 BAM, and processing industry 1,399 BAM.
The average monthly gross salary in BiH for April this year was 2,618 BAM. Compared to the previous month, a nominal growth of 0.3 percent was recorded, while in real terms there was a drop of 1.6 percent.
Compared to April last year, the average gross salary is nominally higher by 9.2 percent, while the real growth was 2.3 percent.
