What is the Average net Salary in Bosnia and Herzegovina?

The average monthly paid net salary per employee in legal entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the first half of 2023 was 1,244 BAM, and for the same period in 2022 it was 1,085 BAM.

The average net salary in the first half of 2023 compared to the same period of the previous year is nominally higher by 14.6 percent.

For the period from July to December 2022, the average monthly net salary was 1,159 BAM. The increase in the average monthly net salary in the first half of 2023 compared to the second half of 2022 was 7.3 percent.

The highest average net salaries in the first half of 2023 were for employees in the Information and Communications sector in the amount of 1,798 BAM, followed by Finance and Insurance – 1,766 BAM and in Production and Supply of Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning – 1,753 BAM, data are the BiH Statistics Agency.

The lowest average net wages in the first half of 2023 were for workers in the Activity of providing accommodation, and preparing and serving food in the amount of 817 BAM, and in Construction, where the average net wages were 914 BAM.

In the first half of 2023, the average gross salary in BiH amounted to 1,916 BAM, and for the same period in 2022, it amounted to 1,664 BAM and is nominally higher by 15.2 percent.

For the period from July to December 2022, the average monthly gross salary was 1,781 BAM. The increase in the average monthly gross salary in the first half of 2023 compared to the second half of 2022 was 7.6 percent, Fena news agency reports.
