12900067_1748311218738888_780055428_nThe agreement of the Islamic Community of BiH, which became the subject of politicization last year, was submitted to the Presidency of BiH that should declare on adoption soon. The agreement was submitted to the Presidency of BiH without harmonization with other religious communities despite the statement of the Presidency member Mladen Ivanic that it will not be approved until it does not harmonize with the other religious communities in BiH.

The Framework Agreement between the Islamic community and the state of BiH was adopted by the Council of Ministers on the proposal of the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees of BiH. The content of the agreement was hidden from the eyes of the Bosnian public for a long time.

A member of the Presidency of BiH Mladen Ivanic stated earlier that the agreement of BiH with the Islamic community in BiH will not be approved until the other religious communities in BiH does not agree with it, because they all must have the same position.

Hodzic said that the agreement have not been harmonized yet because it does not regulate the same but the specific things with other religious communities.

“Catholic and the Orthodox Church did not request any consent from us. According to the information that I have from before, and that is not official, both churches fully support the agreement because it does not have anything that was still more than an agreement which they have signed,” said Professor at the Faculty of Islamic Studies and Member of Parliament of FBiH Dzevad Hodzic.

He emphasized that neither Catholic, nor Orthodox Church, are not in the formal position to reflect on the agreement of the Islamic community.

Finally, he stated that no one should even think that a third party should give a consent about any agreement between the Islamic community and the state of BiH.
