Donald Trump will officially become the 47th president of the United States (U.S.) today, January 20th, and the full inauguration event officially began on Saturday evening, two days before the swearing-in ceremony.

According to media reports, Trump and his wife Melania arrived in Washington in the evening hours, but they won’t stay long in the U.S. capital.

A trip to Sterling, a town in Virginia where his golf club is located, is planned. There, a fireworks display is scheduled, along with performances by several musical acts, including Leo Days, an Elvis Presley impersonator, and tenor Christopher Macchio, who will perform the U.S. national anthem today.

On Sunday, a massive rally is planned at the Capital One Arena, for which all his supporters have been invited. The rally is called the “Make America Great Again Victory Rally.”

Performers will include Kid Rock, Billy Ray Cyrus, The Village People band, Lee Greenwood, and the Liberty University Choir, which will honor a person who was killed during the failed assassination attempt on Trump that occurred in the summer of the previous year.

Several events will also take place on the day of the inauguration itself. Today, Trump will begin with a prayer at St. John’s Church, followed by a tea gathering with the current U.S. president Joe Biden. First Lady Jill Biden and Trump’s wife Melania will also attend.

Next is the ceremony, which for the first time in 40 years will be held indoors, rather than in front of the Capitol building. Due to forecasts predicting a high of six degrees below zero today in Washington, this part of the ceremony has been moved to the Rotunda building.

As for those who had tickets to this inauguration, numbering 22.000, many will lose their spots at the event and will find it difficult to reach the Capital One Arena, where about 2.000 seats will be available for visitors at the later event.

This will be followed by the swearing-in of the new U.S. vice president, JD Vance, and the new president, Donald Trump. The proceedings will be led by Supreme Court justices Brett Kavanaugh and John Roberts.

Afterward, there will be an official farewell to Biden and his vice president, Kamala Harris, as the outgoing administration. Following this, Trump, as commander-in-chief, will review the U.S. troops stationed in Washington on the day of the inauguration.

Trump will then head to the Capitol building, where he will sign his nominations, appointments, and executive orders that he plans to implement on the first day of his term, in front of the media and members of both houses of Congress.

The inauguration day will conclude with three presidential balls, where Trump will deliver remarks. These include the Commander-in-Chief Ball for U.S. troops, the Freedom Ball for Trump’s supporters, and the Starlight Ball for Trump’s donors.

These balls will formally conclude the three-day event, and on January 21st, the first significant decisions of the new administration, led by Donald Trump for the second time in his life, are already expected, Klix.ba writes.
