Wheat Yield in Semberija much higher than expected

semberijaWheat harvest in Semberija confirmed expectations of satisfying quality and above-average yield from 5 to 6.5 tons per hectare, according to senior associate from department for providing professional services in agriculture, Dragan Zaric.

According to him, half of the harvest of wheat in Semberija is done and if the weather serves well the farmers, it could be completed in the next three days.

A total of 13,133 hectares was planted with wheat this year in the RS. From the Department of Economy and Agriculture emphasize that farmers in Semberija have enough agricultural machinery, 500 combine harvesters for grain crops and 6,000 tractors, which means that the harvest can be completed in 10 to 15 days.

For producers of grain in the RS is provided an incentive of 250 BAM per hectare and 5 fenings per kilogram of produced and sold wheat.
