When will the Appointment of BiH Council of Ministers be held?

Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Zvizdić, told FENA that the Collegium of that House held a session today and agreed that the regular session of the House of Representatives will be held on January 31.

According to him, the laws that enter the second round of voting from the last mandate will be determined at that session.

There will also be ten or twelve items on the agenda that are related to the ratification of various agreements that BiH has with international financial institutions, and through which numerous projects in the field of traffic and communal infrastructure in the territory of BiH would be financed.

He said that bearing in mind that the checks are still ongoing, the appointment would probably be Wednesday or Thursday, January 25 or 26.

Asked to comment on the announcements of certain party leaders regarding the dismissal of the current Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zvizdić said that “we should allow time to see the further development of events”.

“The fact is that the Central Election Commission, by its inaction in numerous segments, especially by its inaction on numerous complaints sent to it by the parties about numerous election irregularities at dozens of polling stations, has caused tensions, which has led to a marked lack of confidence in the quality and principled work of the CEC. However, I can say that, as far as the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH is concerned, everything will be done by the Election Law and by the prescribed legal procedures,” concluded Zvizidić.
