After the broadcast of the film “Where’s Sara”, in which Aleksandra Blagojević and Miloš Kuprešanin revealed shocking details about the disappearance of their daughter Sara, Pandora’s box was opened. With the same question “Where is it?” another 35 families came forward who do not know where their babies born at the Banjaluka University Hospital were buried.
The “Where’s Sara” case opened Pandora’s box. In 2018, Aleksandra and Miloš from Banja Luka had a daughter, Sara, whom the doctors at the University Clinical Center of the RS said had died after a few days, and then allegedly buried her. No one knows where, because after an exhumation requested by the parents, it was determined that their baby was not buried where it was said to be. This story disturbed the public, and the fact that Aleksandra and Miloš’s lawyer Dragan Tolimir contacted 35 more families with the same story is even more shocking.
“When that film was shown, a large number of people who experienced a similar fate came forward and wanted to know what happened to their children. They have a right to know. These are children who were born alive. “Here, someone did the most terrible thing – he removed human beings,” Tolimir points out.
Where is Sara and whether she is alive or not – is a question that has been bothering Aleksandra and Miloš for years. In the grave where they were told their daughter was buried, they found a glove on a Coke bottle and four bones.
“We don’t know if she is alive or dead, but if she is dead – where is the body? If she is alive, and I hope she is, I hope the institutions will do their job. Now they have it all done. As for the paperwork, we got it,” says Aleksandra.
In a statement, the Banja Luka City Cemetery confirmed that on September 11, 2018, they took over the body of a newborn from UKC, and that none of the family contacted them at that time and that the funeral took place on October 8. The mayor of Banjaluka, Draško Stanivuković (PDP), reminds that there was a change of management in that company recently. Parents, he says, are available.
“As for the cemetery itself, we still have doubts about many things there. Of course, the cemetery should keep detailed records of everything that is the responsibility of the company itself. We will reach for the documentation. The management of the company will be at their disposal as much as possible”, says Stanivuković.
At the District Public Prosecutor’s Office, they created a case and that’s all they told us. It’s quiet in UKC. There are no answers to our questions. Earlier, they sent a statement to the media in which, among other things, they state that the film is biased. They do not take responsibility. Neither they nor other institutions. While the ball is being passed from one to the other, the question remains unanswered – where is Sara and where are the other babies from Banja Luka?
