Since 2006, the Henley Passport Index has been ranking the travel documents of 199 countries. Japan has been at the top of the list for years, while Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), together with Albania and Kosovo, ranks worst in the region.

To get the final results, the Henley Passport Index takes into account the number of countries that can be entered without a visa with that passport.

The top 10 passports remain virtually unchanged over the past few years. Japan is back at the top of the list. The passport of this Asian country opens the door to 193 countries of the world. The Japanese passport is followed by the passports of the following countries: Singapore, South Korea, Germany, Spain, Finland, Italy, Luxembourg, Austria, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Sweden.

As for the region, the Slovenian passport is by far the strongest, and it is in 11th place and opens the door to 182 countries. The passport of the Republic of Croatia is in 18th place, Serbian in 38th, Macedonian in 44th, Montenegrin in 45th, Albanian in 51st, and Kosovo in 101st place.

BiH shares its 49th place on the ranking list with Russian and Micronesian passports, and with these passports, you can travel freely to 118 countries of the world.

As for the end, the worst positions were taken by countries whose passports allow visa-free entry to less than 40 countries in the world. These are North Korea, Nepal, Palestinian Territories, Somalia, Yemen, Pakistan, Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan, Klix.ba reports.
