Where is the Money borrowed by the RS Government? The U.S. Embassy presented new Criticisms

The Embassy of the United States (U.S.) in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) sent new criticism to the authorities in the smaller BiH entity of the Republika Srpska (RS), and they again wondered where is the money that the RS entity is lending.

They resemble the “tactics” of numerous companies that are under OFAC sanctions, that is, the Office of Foreign Assets Control in the U.S.

“Companies linked to sanctioned individuals and the politically powerful often restructure corporate ownership to hide family involvement. Who benefits from these opaque business transactions?”, the U.S. Embassy announced.

At the end, they added the question “Where is the money?”, related to the post from a few days ago, when they mentioned the 1.1 billion BAM that the Government of the RS borrowed on the Banja Luka Stock Exchange.

After that, they devoted several more posts to the financial situation of the smaller BiH entity. Thus, on July 22nd, they singled out several contracts signed by the RS authorities with sanctioned companies, for which they point out are worth more than 70 million BAM, Klix.ba writes.
