The Mostar airport made a step forward, introducing a direct line to Belgrade from mid-April. And other BH airports are preparing for the summer season. Who will profit the most this year? Experts are betting on Sarajevo, but records are also being broken by Banja Luka.
With the establishment of a direct line between Air Serbia and Mostar Airport, along with the previously signed cooperation with the SkyAlps company, the story of the fourth hub is complete. Thus, from the second half of April, the city on the Neretva will be connected to Belgrade, Zagreb, Munich and Rome.
“We have six direct destinations, which is a record. There were never more than three. If we were to multiply each of the three, that is, where we can from all the destinations, that is over 100 destinations”, announced the director of Mostar Airport, Marko Đuzel.
To begin with, passengers will have the new line at their disposal for six months, three times a week. The price of a one-way ticket is 56 euros, while the return ticket costs 104 euros. A lot is expected from the Herzegovinian airport. Twice as many passengers compared to the end of last year, when more than 20,000 were recorded.
The new flight from Sarajevo International Airport to Warsaw is also significant. As part of the winter flight schedule, which is in effect until the end of next month, 12 destinations are available to passengers, but all attention is focused on strengthening the lines during the summer season.
“The company Ryanair is introducing six destinations, namely Milan, Gothenburg, London, Memmingham, Brussels and Thessaloniki. The SunExpress company is introducing two direct lines to Antalya and Izmir, and the Aegean Airlines is introducing a direct line to Athens”, reminded Belma Čureković, from Sarajevo International Airport.
Depending on the company, prices are also created, so, for example, you can travel from Tuzla airport for at least 75 euros. Regular flights take place to Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
“When it comes to Germany, you can fly to Memmingham, Dortmund, Maastricht in the Netherlands, Halmstad and Stockholm in Sweden. From today, check-out in the winter flight schedule should start, and Istanbul for the first time from Tuzla”, emphasized Dževad Halilčević, director of Tuzla Airport for N1.
The same destinations, in addition to Belgrade, Basel, Vienna, Stockholm and Gothenburg, can also be reached from Banja Luka, while from the summer season the tourist offer will be enriched with lines to Brussels, Karlsruhe, Egypt, Greece, Turkey and Tunisia. Of the four BH of the Sarajevo airport, this year too, according to experts’ forecasts, it will record the best results and approach almost two million passengers. On the other side…
“We are talking about the fact that Tuzla could have a maximum of 200 thousand passengers. Calculate that she had 600 thousand, that is actually a very negligible and bad figure. Banja Luka is growing nicely. There are three times more passengers than in 2019 and the announcements for this year are very good. Half a million passengers will cross,” said civil aviation expert Alen Ščurić.
And as for the airport in the city on the Neretva, this year it is expected to end up with a maximum of 60,000 passengers, which is not even close to its self-sustainability.
Tuzla International Airport has informed the citizens of Tuzla Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as all interested parties, that the Lumiwings airline, for the first time from Tuzla International Airport, is establishing an airline to Istanbul (Turkiye), reports Anadolu.
The airline will be established already during this winter flight schedule, and the first flight from Tuzla to Istanbul is planned for March 5 this year.
The scheduled flights will be operated twice a week (Tuesdays and Sundays), and interested passengers can buy tickets at a promotional price of 51 euros one way from today on the Lumiwings website.
This fulfills another one of the promises made for the establishment of a direct regular line from Tuzla to Istanbul, with which the Tuzla International Airport expands the network of attractive destinations that can be traveled to from the Tuzla airport.
In addition to the newly established route to Istanbul in Turkey, during the currently active winter flight schedule from the International Airport, passengers can also travel to Memmingen, Dortmund and Saarbrucken in Germany, Halmstad and Stockholm (Skavsta) in Sweden, Esbjerg in Denmark, Maastricht in the Netherlands and Basel (Mulhouse ) in France/Switzerland.
