Who are the Possible Opponents of the Dragons in the Playoffs?

teamWith the triumph over Cyprus in Nicosia, the national football team of B&H ensured the placement in the additional qualifications that we will be playing between the 12th and 18th of November this year.

The Dragons will find out who will be their opponents in the playoffs on Sunday before noon. The draw will take place again in the UEFA headquarters in Nyon.

Besides B&H, in the drum will be also the national teams of Norway, Ukraine, Denmark, Sweden, the Republic of Ireland, Slovenia and Hungary. Thanks to the rating that our team achieved during the past five 5 years on the European football map, this time (unlike the previous 2 times) the Dragons will be holders in the draw of pairs for additional qualifications.

The national teams of Ukraine, Denmark and Sweden probably will be making us company in the first group, so the list of potential opponents for selection of Mehmed Bazdarevic include Norway, Republic of Ireland, Slovenia and Hungary.

Even though none of these 4 selections does not belong to the European top in the recent years, when looked back to the past qualifying and friendly matches, Slovenia appears as the most desirable one. We would most certainly had tremendous support from the fans in Ljubljana or Maribor, due to the proximity of Slovenia as well as the numerous B&H diaspora in this country. It is also worth noting that we played against Slovenia 4 times, and won every time, of which 3 times in guests matches.
