What will Arab Sheik build on Zlatiste?

qasimiLand in Zlatiste, where the RS authorities were planning to make a monument for the killed Serbs from Sarajevo, is now owned by the Sarajevo company Emirates Ltd., whose indirect owner is the sheik from the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Saqr Al Qasimi.

After the opening of the amusement park “Sunnyland”, Sheikh Mohammed bin Saqr al Qasimi is planning to build apartments and villas on Zlatiste, on the land where politicians from the RS were planning construction of 26 meters tall cross, as reported by Vecernji List.

It was concluded that Arab investors will certainly not construct a memorial cross and a church, as it was planned before. Moreover, in  the “Sunnyland” and “Alpine Coaster”, which has become a major attraction for the citizens of Sarajevo, was invested more than 15 million BAM.

“Sunnyland” is the amusement park in which dominate the “alpine coaster”, which is actually something similar to the “train of death” in Luna Parks, but it works on the principle of gravity. You sit in a two-seater on the track that you drive to the end of “runway”.

Sheikh Mohammed registered company “Sunnyland” in East Sarajevo, and problems of nature infrastructure, one hundred parking spaces, electricity supply, water and sanitation, obtaining zoning and construction permits and similar, he solved with the relevant ministries, institutions and public companies in the RS.

On weekends, especially when weather conditions are favorable, there is almost no seat on the so-called train of death.

Although some people comment this investment with a dose of surprise, it is clear that it was agreed in details since lawyers from the RS are all around Sarajevo hotels visited by rich Arabs, in front of which they are waiting for them in rent-a-car luxury vans and drive them to construction sites.
