Vice Chairman of the Municipal Council Mustafa Mulic and councilor Dzevad Topic on Monday, the 28th of November 2016 visited the site of the memorial for martyrs and the fallen soldiers “Mala Kula” on Grdonj together with representatives of veterans’ organizations, interested investors, and representatives of citizens. The aim of the visit was to discuss the future activities regarding the regulatory plan for the area Mrkovici, Grdonj and parts of Barica that belong to the Municipality Centar.

The Municipal Council previously adopted an initiative for the adoption of the plan, and it remains to implement all the necessary procedures for its adoption.

Vice Chairman Mulic said that the mentioned Regulatory Plan should create the conditions for the construction of tourist facilities, with the aim of exploiting resources, enriching the tourist offer and new work places.

“There is interest of JOB, to which the Municipality Centar gave the memorial on Grdonj and monumental building “Mala Kula” on use, to expand capacity and build a sports and recreation center. The goal of the construction of such complex, besides enriching the tourist offer and new work places, would be to provide conditions for self-sustainability, “ said Mulic.

Representatives of investor companies Aya Holding Ltd. from Dubai and Muqtauf UAE from Turkey suggested that there is a strong interest of investors to invest in this kind of tourism potential and that they hope that procedures of adopting the regulatory plan will be completed as soon as possible.
