Starbucks, the favorite chain of cafes for many Bosnians and Herzegovinans when they go abroad, has decided to open its doors in another Balkan country, Montenegro.
On this occasion, N1 sent an inquiry to this company, which has more than 30,000 stores worldwide, about their intentions to expand into the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
However, they received an answer that they still do not plan to open their cafes in our country.
Bosnia and Herzegovina remains one of the few countries in the Balkans that does not have this world-famous coffee chain. Apart from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia also shares the same fate, so these two countries stand out as the only ones in the Balkans that have not yet become hosts for Starbucks branches.
Otherwise, this chain of cafes is known for products that are calorie bombs full of sugar, but also for innovation and creativity in constantly offering new products.
The reasons for absence can be deeply rooted in the culture and preferences of the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Local cafes offer an authentic experience that is hard to replace with globalized chains.
Maybe the Starbucks logo will appear in this country one day, but the tradition of Bosnian coffee will still remain strong and indelible.
