The Central Election Commission (CEC) yesterday adopted a decision on the procurement of a system for the biometric identification of voters and the scanning of ballots at polling stations. The value of the project is almost 88 million BAM.
To recall, the CEC had earlier submitted a request to the Office for the Consideration of Appeals of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) to continue this procedure.
The CEC, as they point out, has prepared, drafted, and made available the tender documentation to all interested suppliers for the procurement in question.
They emphasized that by extending the deadlines, the process of introducing election technologies at the upcoming 2026 elections is being made more difficult and slowed down.
