After John Kerry becomes the U.S. Secretary of State instead of Hillary Clinton, BiH and the Balkans can expect the continuation of the U.S. engagement in this region, said today to news agencies Deputy Assistant of the U.S. Secretary for Europe and Eurasia Philip Reeker in a video link from Brussels.

He added that after the new inauguration of the U.S. president, the confirmation of John Carry will go through the U.S. Senate.

”Senator Kerry is a very experienced politician. He was a senator for 28 years, and all that time he has been following the situation in the Western Balkans, especially in BiH.”, said Reeker.

Reeker added that he is certain that Kerry will continue with the same engagement as Hillary Clinton had towards this region.
