Works on the Construction of the State Prison progressing with a planned Pace

state prison constructionConstruction of the state prison in East Sarajevo is progressing with the planned pace, the financial construction of the project is closed, and money for contracted works is ensured.

The spokeswomen of the Ministry of Justice of BiH, Marina Brkic, sad that concrete, ground and hydro works are currently in progress, as well as the works on the exterior, and the deadline for the completion of all works is the end of 2016.

As Bakic reminded, the construction and the operation of the future state prison are completely in accordance with the European Prison Rules.

By the realization of the planned project, BiH will get prison capacities of the maximum security capacity of 348 places.

Bakic said that the construction project of the Institute for the Execution of Criminal Sanction is one the most significant project to joined by BiH in the last 10 years.

The construction project of the Institute for the Execution of Criminal Sanction is being funded from the domestic, donor and credit funds.
