Young wrestlers from the Sarajevo club Bosna Husein Gegić and Aldin Memić won the gold and silver medals at the traditional ‘Christmas Tournament’ for cadets and boys in Zagreb.
33 teams from nine countries participated (Denmark, Austria, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia, B&H, Slovakia and the host Croatia).
Gegić won the gold medal in the category up to 35 kg, defeating all opponents in the first round, while Memić won silver in the category up to 83 kg.
‘’This was also the last competitive tournament in this very successful year. We wish to note that Husein Gegić won seven gold medals at seven international tournaments, which were held outside B&H. This shows a very talented young wrestler’’, said trainer of the wrestling club Bosna Fahrudin Hodžić.
