Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Vjekoslav Bevanda believes that the year 2013 will be the year of the EU in BiH.
Bevanda added that the BiH made important decisions in 2012; timely adoption of the budget for 2013, the adoption of the Global Fiscal Framework 2012-2014 and 2013-2014 and also the arrangement with the International Monetary Fund.
He said that the second tranche of IMF will relax the situation and will allow the financing of everything that is in the domain of the entities.
“This year has shown that the needs of all institutions financed from the budget of BiH institutions were met and we will end this year with a surplus, not a single BAM of debt”, said Bevanda.
Speaking of eligibility for filing applications for the EU, Bevanda said that the Council of Ministers of fulfilled 24 of the 26 requirements of the EU.
”We still need to solve the coordination mechanism and the case of Sejdić and Finci. I believe that the new parliamentary majority will have the capacity to solve those two issues”, said Bevanda
He announced that a meeting of bodies for coordination will take place in Banja Luka on 21st December, and he hopes that after the meeting the Council of Ministers of BiH will unanimously adopt the proposed coordination mechanism.
