The young National basketball team of B&H made a sensation in the second round of the A Division European Championship defeating hosting Italy with a result of 73:69.
After the opening ten minutes our young basketball players had an advantage of five points, 20:15. In the second part, Italy dominated and went deservedly to the half time with two pints of advantage. The result was 35:33 in the benefit for our opponent.
In the third period, our basketball players played excellent and finished this period of the game with a convincing 20:12, thus we entered the last period with an excess of six baskets.
In the fourth period, we were taking turns with Italians in the lead, and came to plus-five points in the very end of the match. We entered the last minute with the plus-eight points, and finished match with plus-four, 73:69.
In our team, Nedim Buza played a brilliant match with 28 points and ten rebounds, while Stefan Lakic scored 14 points.
