At the 48th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO 2017) that was held in Indonesia, young representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dzenan Devedzic (Gymnasium Gracanica) and Edvin Djapo (Third Gymnasium Sarajevo) won bronze medals while Ajla Karisik (International High School Sarajevo) and Dinno Koluh (Una-Sana College Bihac) received recognitions.

Arman Dupanovic was also a member of the team and team leaders were Senad Isakovic and Mirsad Tunja, students of the 4th year of Physics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Sarajevo.

This is the third consecutive year that students from BiH are returning home from the International Olympiad with two medals, which was unimaginable just a few years ago.

Only the Government of Canton Tuzla fully financed the trip for Dzenan Devedzic.

“We are hoping that the work and success of these young representatives of BiH in international competitions, will be recognized and supported in the best way possible,” as stated by the Association of Physicists of BiH.

The return of the BH team is expected at 1:15 PM on July 26, at the International Airport Sarajevo.
