Adnan Ibric, student of the fourth year of applied mathematics at the Faculty of Science at the University of Tuzla, was admitted to the Master’s program of mathematics at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne) in 2017/18 academic year, as announced from the Faculty of Science in Tuzla.
The École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne is one of the best high education institutions in the world, and it took the top 14th place in the world on the ranking announced by QS World University Rankings 2016-2017! The 2016-2017 Times Higher Education World University Rankings’ engineering and technology table put EPFL on the 11th place of the best universities in the world.
Adnan Ibric was born in Lukavac in 1994, where he finished gymnasium. He was a member of BH mathematic team on the International Mathematics Olympics in Colombia in 2013, when he achieved a great result and returned home with a bronze medal.
“To the satisfaction of all of us from the Faculty of Science, he decided to study at the University of Tuzla, where he continued with great and well-earned results at studies program of Applied Mathematics,” as said in the statement.
“We hope that Ibric will finish his undergraduate thesis as soon as possible, and start with the world’s leading science courses, first with the master’s thesis and then doctoral studies in mathematics. We also hope that he will bring his experience, knowledge, and success back to BiH and his home institution – Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Science at the University of Tuzla and to help us build even better and more relevant high education institution,” as announced from the Faculty of Science.
