Zvizdić informed Assaf about the priorities of the Council of Ministers of BiH, highlighting the EU integration, economic development and strengthening of security and the rule of law.

Zvizdić also highlighted that a significant progress has been achieved in all segments, which resulted in the submission of application for membership in the EU. Furthermore, he added that significant steps on the path of BiH towards membership in the NATO are also expected this year.

The President of WAFA Assaf informed the Chairman Zvizdić about current events related to the peace process and about the so-called French initiative, behind which stands the European Union and which has the support of the Arab League and the OIC, for organizing a new peace meeting dedicated to the resolution of the “Palestinian issue”. Assaf added that the aim of the initiative is the establishment of a Peace Process Committee that would regulate the relations between Palestine and Israel on the basis of the international law and valid UN resolutions within a reasonable period of time.

Zvizdić said that BiH supports the solutions based on international legal order and the applicable UN resolutions. He added that citizens of BiH are true friends of Palestine.

Assaf said that the interest of Palestine is to internationalize and solve the peace process within the framework of international law. He condemned every abuse of suffering of the Palestinian people with the aim of justifying terrorist and extremist actions.
