zvizdicChairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdic met yesterday in London with the Foreign Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Philip Hammond, with whom he discussed the current political and economic situation in the two countries.

Zvizdic thanked for the support of the United Kingdom in the process of Euro-Atlantic integration of BiH so far, and stated that he is confident that the United Kingdom will continue to support the reform processes in BiH on its path towards the European Union.

Minister Hammond thanked Chairman Zvizdic on his arrival on the Day of Remembrance on Srebrenica and said that the referendum decision on the UK leaving from the European Union will not affect relations between the two countries and that he expects BiH to continue to fulfill its obligations within the European reform agenda, in order to join the European Union as soon as possible. He emphasized that BiH is still in the focus of foreign policy priorities of the United Kingdom.

Chairman Zvizdic stated that it is important to make use of the positive momentum of European integration process and emphasized the importance of obtaining the questionnaire as soon as possible, which will represent the beginning of the process of integration and harmonization with EU standards.

“We are firmly committed to continue the implementation of agreed measures from the Reform agenda, to ensure the realization of the coordination mechanism and the adaptation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement,” said Zvizdic.

They discussed the economic cooperation between BiH and the UK and agreed that there is significant potential for improvement in the future.
