Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CoM of BiH), Denis Zvizdic, hosted Minister of Foreign Affairs of Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif, and introduced him to the current economic and political situation in BiH.

“During the talk, Chairman Zvizdic and Minister Zarif agreed that BiH and Iran have traditionally good and friendly relations, and that there is a great potential for further development of cooperation, particularly in the economy field, “ it was stated from the CoM.

Zvizdic said that this is also showed by a large number of delegations from Iranian businessmen who participated in yesterday’s economic forum organized by the BiH Foreign Trade Chamber, and it is expected for cooperation to intensify in all sectors.

Minister Zarif has invited Zvizdic to visit Iran. They expressed the desire and willingness to advance the level of cooperation, and continue with the high level visits.

They talked about the possibilities for establishing payment transactions, and expressed the hope that this issue would soon be resolved, which would address the obstacles to strengthening economic cooperation.

They also talked about the liberalization of the visa regime, both for business people and for tourists and citizens, and about cooperation in the field of tourism, scientific, technical, educational and cultural cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Iranian Ambassador to BiH, Mahmoud Heidari.
