The President of the Nation Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, responded to a statement by the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Denis Becirovic, regarding the “All-Serbian Assembly.” Becirovic claimed that the adopted declaration revives the project of a Greater Serbia.
Brnabic stated that Becirovic’s politics are centered on hatred towards Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and remarked that it is fortunate for the region that “his influence, all in all, amounts to zero.”
“It’s one thing that Mr. Becirovic hasn’t read the Declaration on the Protection of National and Political Rights and the Common Future of the Serbian People, which was adopted on Saturday, June 8th, but it appears he has never read the Dayton Peace Agreement either, which is particularly concerning. But, well, that’s how it is when your entire political strategy is based on hating Vucic,” said Brnabic.
She added that for such a stance, there’s no need to read declarations, or peace agreements that are the foundation of BiH, or to carefully listen to speeches.
“All you need is to give in to hatred. You wake up in the morning – you hate Vucic. The clock strikes noon – you hate Vucic. You go to bed – you hate Vucic. Then some little voice tells you that Vucic said that day that peace is the most important thing for us, that everyone should return to respecting the Dayton Peace Agreement, that we wish no harm to anyone, and that living together with everyone is especially important. It doesn’t matter – you still hate Vucic,” Brnabic emphasized.
Becirovic stated that the “All-Serbian Assembly” is a dangerous project by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, which is directly connected to Russia’s attempts to destabilize Southeastern Europe and divert attention from the Russian aggression in Ukraine, Klix.ba writes.
