izazovThe biggest action of weight loss in the history of B&H or a kind of fitness revolution was completed with the aim for people in B&H  to achieve a 10.000 weight loss in two months.

The leader of this project, a fitness trainer and nutrition consultant Džemal Gekić stated for BHRT that the biggest problem is bread and sweets.

“It is not about sweets as it used to be before, which contained sugar, flour, walnuts, eggs and etc, but now chocolates or cookies are the biggest problem. The rest of the food is more or less fine. We eat a lot of vegetables and meat, which is good”, said Gekić.

He stated that people are aware and they are moving towards a positive direction, adding that a few years ago the situation was different.

“People work much more and basically spend a lot of time sitting and they don’t eat regularly and the food is less healthy. All of that leads to weight gain, thus the need for training and moving is increasing”, said Gekić.

He concluded that with an active lifestyle and working out in combination with proper nutrition, we can regulate or eliminate 99 % of most common diseases and health issues because all of that is a result of a bad diet and infrequent physical activity.
