Since October 8th, 2023, 1.974 people have been killed in Israeli military attacks on Lebanon, including 127 children.

Lebanon’s Minister of Health, Firass Abiad, provided details on the deaths and injuries caused by Israeli attacks since October 8th during a press conference held at the Baabda State Hospital in the eastern part of the capital, Beirut.

Minister Abiad stated that since October 8th, 2023, 1.974 people have been killed in Israeli attacks, including 127 children, and 9.384 people have been injured.

Noting that 40 healthcare workers and first responders lost their lives in the Israeli attacks, Abiad mentioned that numerous healthcare centers were also damaged.

The Israeli military, which has been engaged in controlled clashes with Hezbollah on the Lebanon-Israel border since October 8th, 2023, detonated pagers and radios used by Hezbollah from September 17th to 18th and attacked towns in southern Lebanon, as well as the Bekaa and Baalbek regions on September 23rd.

The Israeli military announced on September 30th that it had begun limited and intensive ground attacks on Hezbollah’s infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
