kamioniSix trucks of aid for the population of the flooded areas arrived this morning from Austria to Sarajevo.
The assistance came to the Association Hilfhelfen – Pomozi.ba.

“Three trucks have been previously sent to Tuzla and one to Bijeljina. We intend to send 10 more trucks with humanitarian help on Tuesday”, said Amela Džananović from Association Hilfhelfen – Pomozi.ba.

This is the action of several Austrian Associations.

“Action began last weekend and the response was extremely good”, she added.

Citizens of Austria have been involved in this humanitarian help.

“We drove water, canned food, sugar, salt, pasta, items of hygiene, disinfectants means, costumes, boots and other equipments”, added Džananović.

Trucks arrived in front of the warehouse 24 VIP where were addressed to the most vulnerable areas.

“The action started spontaneously. We established a group on Facebook and it is unbelievable how much support we received. We thought this would be a small action, but we were all surprised by euphoria of pole who helped. People were crying while they were giving us goods. We gathered over 300 tons of aid and the action will continue till end of the month. People from the Austrian government promised to help us in future through various projects. The Austrian President Heinz Fischer said that people from B&H are seen as unique and amazing people. This says a lot”, said Admir Kulin, one of the organizers of this humanitarian action.
