10 Years of Cooperation between Konrad Adenauer and Interreligious Council in BiH marked with Ceremony

11173495_10153266760728252_710902257_nWithin the program “Meeting of Young Theologians”, organized by the Interreligious Council in cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation since 2005, about 40 meetings of students was organized, aiming to meet the other and different, and strengthening the capacity of future religious officials from different religious traditions in order to strengthen inter-religious collaboration.

Topic of this year’s meeting was “The challenge of reconciliation” or “My contribution to Reconciliation”. The program lasted from 27th to 30th of April 2015, and representatives from all theological faculties in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sarajevo, Foča, Mostar, Bihać, Zenica and Doboj) and the region (Belgrade, Đakovo and Novi Pazar) had opportunity to listen to lectures by eminent experts.

The four-day meeting was crowned by a panel discussion held on Wednesday, April 29, in the Atrium of the Hotel Europe, and started at 5 p.m.

11160210_10153266760948252_837112408_nPanel discussion on the topic: “The role of churches and religious communities in the process of reconciliation,” brought together representatives of the four religious groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina as panelists; namely Husejin ef. Smajić, the Deputy Reis-ul-Ulema in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Darko Đogo, the dean of the Orthodox Theological Faculty “St.Vasilje Ostroski’’, His Eminence Cardinal Vinko Puljic, Archbishop of Vrhbosna and His Eminence Jakob Finci, the President of the Jewish community in B&H.
