Patients in the Clinical Center at the University of Sarajevo will get better health services this year. The management announced 11 new operating rooms in the central medical block, sterile units in Pediatrics and a department for tuberculosis at the clinic for pulmonary diseases. They announced that intensive works are underway on the construction of underground garages near Koševo hospital.
Rationalization costs, strong control of prescription drugs, the construction of a central medical block and the development of transplant medicine are the priority of the work in the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo. The previous years for employees and patients will be remembered. The premises of the Clinic for hemodialysis have been expanded, and a new operational block, the PET/CT Department has been constructed.
‘’In this way, we have taken all measures on the maximum rationalization of costs, without having to bring into question the quality of medical services’’, said Prof. Dr. Damir Aganović, General Director of KCUS.
They have reduced losses in their operations by 8 million BAM in comparison to 2012. A systematization of employment of the Clinic for Transplant has been adopted. A room is already secure for liver transplants on the sixth floor of the central block.
