113 New Cases of Coronavirus recorded in Sarajevo

According to the data of the Public Health Institute of Canton Sarajevo, 113 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the Sarajevo Canton last day, after laboratory testing of 681 samples.

In the same period, 136 people recovered from Covid-19 infection. Five patients died as a result of this disease.

There are currently 155 patients in hospital, 146 of whom have an acute infection, while the rest are post covid or under observation.

The share of vaccinated persons in the number of hospitalized is 15.48 percent. 80 patients are treated at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas ”75.

There are nine people on the respirator. Seven patients use non-invasive ventilation, while nine are on oxygen support for breathing. Today, Sarajevo Canton records 1,457 active cases of Covid-19 infection. There are currently 2,707 people in self-isolation.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Sarajevo Canton, a total of 63,425 people have been infected with the coronavirus, and 60,489 have been cured.

“In the past seven days, the average number of infected is 149, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 247,” according to the Public Health Institute of CS.
