Nedim MakarevicA high Pakistani military delegation headed by General Rizwan Akhtar will pay an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sunday, 23rd April.

A delegation, consisted of 18 members, will have meetings in premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense, and will later visit factory Igman in Konjic.

As the Ambassador of BiH in Pakistan Nedim Makarevic confirmed, the main objective of the delegation’s visit is to get acquainted with the capacities of the weapons industry in BiH.

“Namely, it is about the concretization of the agreements that were concluded in December 2016, when the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif stayed in Sarajevo on the invitation of BiH Council of Ministers chairman Denis Zvizdić,” added ambassador Makarevic.

General Akhtar is the president of the National Defense University (NDU) from Islamabad, and until 2016 he served as General Director of the Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI).
