A memorial to children killed during the warIn the framework of the celebration of the Days of Canton Sarajevo (CS) and the 25th anniversary of the battle for the Defense of the Presidency of the Republic of BiH, numerous citizens, delegations of the Assembly and the Government of the Sarajevo Canton laid flowers in memory of the killed children of the besieged Sarajevo.

The importance of monuments in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina is priceless and testifies to the 1,601 children who were killed in the during the aggression.

“It was expected for the president to be kidnapped, for the building of the Presidency and commanding building to be taken over, then it all happened other way around. The brave boys of Sarajevo shocked the aggressor on that day, and after that shock the enemy could not dare to carry out the planned actions and to connect Grbavica settlement with the Marsal Tito barrack and to take over the Radio and Television (RTV), “one of the members of Presidency Bakir Izetbegović said.
Delegation laid flowers at the “Lav” and “Stadum” cemetery. As part of the “Days of Sarajevo Canton ” event, the screening of the movie “Unexpected Walk” was screened yesterday night.
