Israel again targeted southern Lebanon and Beirut early this morning, killing 12 people, the Lebanese Ministry of Health said.

Israeli officials said they targeted commanders of the Lebanese branch of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard’s Qods Force after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced there would be “many surprises” in the next phase of the conflict.

Today, two border guards were killed in Kuwait when rockets and drones hit that country in the Persian Gulf.

Israeli attacks on Iran continued during the night and this morning, and the oil storage infrastructure in Tehran was hit. This appears to be the first time since the start of the war nine days ago that civilian industrial infrastructure has been targeted. In the war that broke out. The joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28 have so far killed at least 1,230 people in Iran, more than 300 in Lebanon and about ten in Israel, according to officials.

Alarm sirens went off in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, this morning. The Emirates announced that for the first time since the beginning of the war, Iran targeted a water desalination plant.

Hundreds of desalination plants have been installed along the coast of the Persian Gulf and Arab countries in the region rely heavily on these installations for drinking water.

The Israeli army announced today that it shot down a number of fighter jets that Iran bought in the US before the revolution. The fleet of F-14s at Isfahan Airport south of Tehran has been a pillar of Iran’s air force and has previously been used to defend its airspace.

The Israeli army, which did not say whether the planes were destroyed, added that it had hit anti-aircraft defense systems.
