exercise5Final preparations for maintenance of the NATO exercise “BiH 2017” are taking place, and the exercise will be held from September 25 to 29, in Canton Tuzla.

Regarding this, the Prime Minister of Canton Tuzla Bego Gutic held a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Security of BiH.

“Member states of NATO expressed great interest for participation in this exercise. According to the number of participants in this exercise, it will be the largest NATO exercise of this type so far. Instead of anticipated 900 participants, as we planned at the beginning of the organization of this exercise, today we have announcements that around 1,300 participants will take part in the exercise,” said the Head of the Department of Structure and Training in the Ministry of Security and director of exercise, Samir Huseinbasic.

As they noted, all activities that are planned for the preparation of exercise are taking place according to plans, and they will try to prepare one display exercise for the public within the exercises as well.

Prime Minister Gutic expressed his satisfaction with the fact that all activities are taking place as planned, and besides everything that was already done, the Government will also provide further assistance for preparation of space in the campus, considering that this space will remain for the purposes and use of the University of Tuzla even after this exercise.

“The fact itself that we will host the biggest-ever NATO exercise is great. This is a national project and Tuzla Canton will do everything possible in order for everything to go smoothly, because this is a great opportunity for promotion of Tuzla, Canton Tuzla, and BiH, since the world public attention will be focused in this direction during the performance of this exercise,” said Prime Minister Gutic, as announced by the Government of TC.
