This year’s “Cevap Festival” in Banja Luka, which begins on Friday, May 31st, will be attended by 10 restaurants, was announced today from the Banja Luka City Administration.

In addition to gastronomy, a music program for all generations will be prepared.

“Cevap Fest” is organized by the City Administration and Tourism Organization, with the aim of popularizing the Banja Luka cevap.

This year’s event will end on Sunday, June 2nd.

The first Banja Luka Cevap festival, held in January last year, attracted more than 10,000 visitors, including a large number of visitors from the region.

The City administration states that, according to estimates, this was one of the most visited events held in the largest city of the Republika Srpska (RS) over the past year.

Besides Banja Luka citizens, a great number of tourists from the region, especially from Slovenia and Serbia, have been seen at this gastronomic event.

The Mayor of Banja Luka, Igor Radojicic, announced that the City administration, after such a huge interest, will organize this event every year, with the aim of expanding the boundaries of Banja Luka and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

“Besides the branding and protection of geographic origin of Banja Luka cevap, as a specialty of our city, one of the main reasons for organizing this event is to increase the tourist visitation, which is one of the strategic goals of the current City administration. Big increase in tourist visits at the past gatherings, such as the New Year’s Concerts at the Square, and now this event, show us that we go in the right direction, “ Radojicic said back in 2018.
