15 Meters tall Bosnian Flag raised on White Bastion

flag of BiH white bastionMayor of Sarajevo Abdulah Skaka, together with deputies Ivica Saric and Milan Trivic raised the state flag on the White Bastion (Bijela Tabija) yesterday morning. Flag on a mast is 15 meters high and is set on the place where it used to be and on the occasion of April 6th  – Day of Sarajevo.

“Restoration and revitalization of the White Bastion is one of the priorities of the city administration. With this initiative, the City of Sarajevo wants to re-actualize the process of renewal of this valuable cultural and historical monument,” said Mayor Skaka.

On this occasion, mayor reminded that the city administration so far has allocated over one million BAM for archaeological research and structural repairs of the White Bastion, and undertook concrete measures in order to protect it.
